The technology making this possible is TCP/IP. Since all the packets is treated equally by the IP layer, it created a new utility – Connectivity.

The infrastructure – INTERNET (Networks of Networks) & INTERNET OF THINGS (Networks of Machines) – makes it possible to connect millions of computers, appliances and machines globally – creating a new “Connected Age” where people is always connected and can interact digitally with each other or with machines transcending the confines of time and distance.
